Indoor Soccer Camp February 2007
The Ball School staged its first ever exclusively "Indoor Soccer Camp" during the February 2007 half term.
The 3 days of non stop fun and action from 10am to 3pm were over subscribed in two age groups, school year's 3 & 4 and also school years 5, 6 and 7.
With the weather having been such that outside activities would have been difficult with heavy pitches and rain the event was a great success from everyone's point
of view. The children were never cold and wet and parents didn't have muddy kit and boots to deal with at the end of each day.
The Ball School coaches, although tough and talented, also appreciated the less demanding conditions!
The five station warm up each day was varied and challenging with the daily coaching sessions including passing, control, shooting, possession and scoring goals.
Competition time was exciting with the long standing favourite penalty prize won by Tashi and Tyla in their respective age groups. Football Golf saw victory for Jacob
and Samuel with Target Football won by Jake and Dylan.
A special prize for "word of the week" went to Timothy for his clever use of …….. believe it or not …………. regurgitate ………. now how does that relate to football?
The cry from all those who attended, and the parents too, was "what are the dates for the Easter 2007 event". Well it looks like there will be two events, one
running from Tuesday 03 April to Thursday 05 April inclusive and a second from Tuesday 10 April to Thursday 12 April inclusive.
