A Great Event - The Summer Camps 2005
The Bayham Road Sports Ground in Tunbridge Wells, Kent was a hive of football activity as The Ball School ran
two three day courses in August 2005. The same applied
for the October 2005 event.
All three courses were well attended by boys and girls of 6 to 14 years of age. Those who attended were split into appropriate groups for
warm ups, drills, practises, competitions, games and plenty of fun and laughter.

With Gary Stevens, the former Spurs and England International in attendance from 10am to 3pm each day, there was a professional
feel to proceedings. Gary had prepared the course schedule and time table to allow for group rotation and every player spent an equal
amount of time with Gary and his selected coaches.
Gary commented:
“Everyone worked hard at all the skills practises and drills which certainly improved the football played in the small sided
games that concluded each day.
It was great to see so many youngsters enjoying their football, laughing and learning at the same time.
The drink breaks and lunch time gave everyone a chance to chat and ask me some awkward and uncompromising questions about my
career and professional football.
Roll on The Ball School’s next event!”.
All three courses concluded with happy smiling faces, no injuries and
plenty of Mums and Dads at the presentation of awards. The “goodie bag”
for everyone who attended was voted … a real winner!
